Direct Grid-Tied Technology
An On-Grid Solar System (also known as grid-tied) is connected directly to your local utility grid (such as MVVNL, PVVNL, DVVNL, or PuVVNL in Uttar Pradesh). During sunny daylight hours, the solar panels generate electricity to run your household appliances. Any excess power generated is exported back to the utility grid through a bi-directional net meter.
At night or during cloudy weather, when your panels aren't generating electricity, your home automatically imports electricity from the grid. At the end of the billing cycle, you are only charged for the net units consumed (imported units minus exported units). This often results in zero or even negative electricity bills!
